Abstract

A frequency response (FR) technique for the instationary determination of kinetic constants is presented. Reliable quantitative information is obtainable for the description of non-stationary reactor operation. Two models for the evaluation of kinetic FR experiments are described, an analytical expression for a quick parameter determination and a rigorous approach for the determination of a microkinetic expression. The model will be employed for the evaluation of experiments. As an example, the combustion of methane on a supported palladium catalyst will be investigated.
