Abstract

A nano-TiC/graphene/PEDOT:PSS composite material was applied as the counter electrode in flexible dye-sensitized solar cells (DSC) on plastic substrates by spray printing. By using this counter electrode, Power Conversion Efficiency (PCE) of 4.5% was achieved for flexible DSCs, which is slightly higher than that of a similar device using Pt as the counter electrode (PCE=4.3%). Microstructure investigation verified that PEDOT:PSS can be uniformly mixed with graphene coated TiC nano-particles in the nanometer scale. Electrochemistry impedance and cyclic voltammetry spectra were used to study the properties of this composite counter electrode.
