Cerebral fat embolism (CFE) is a rare but serious complication of long bone fractures. It typically occurs 1 to 3 days after the initial trauma. Utilization susceptibility-weighted angiography (SWAN) to demonstrate the petechial hemorrhages in the patient with CFE has seldom been discussed. We herein reported a case of CFE in a 21-year-old female who had femoral and tibial bone fractures. The patient’s clinical course and imaging findings are discussed.
