We studied the transmission of norovirus infection in households in Quininde, Ecuador. Among household contacts of norovirus positive children with diarrhea, norovirus negative children with diarrhea, and asymptomatic controls, infection attack rates (iARs) were 33%, 8%, and 18%, respectively (N= 45, 36, 83). iARs were higher when index children had a higher viral load.
