Abstract

An efficient method for the synthesis of new aryloylamido coumarins via a one-pot, three-component reaction of an aryl glyoxal, benzamide, and a 4-hydroxycoumarin in the presence of molybdate sulfuric acid under solvent-free conditions is reported. This high yielding reaction is in accordance with green chemistry aspects.
