Abstract
The title complex, [Co(C2H3O2)2(C4H11NO)2], was obtained in 70% yield by adding a stoichiometric amount of dmaeH [2-(dimethylamino)ethanol] to Co(C2H3O2)2·4H2O in toluene followed by slow evaporation of the solvent. Two acetate and two dmaeH ligands are coordinated to the CoII center in a slightly distorted octahedral fashion.
