Abstract

In this letter, a new method is proposed to enhancethe ground penetrating radar (GPR) signal for time-delay estimation(TDE) in low signal noise ratio (SNR). It is based onthe subspace methods and clustering technique. The proposedmethod allows improving the estimation accuracy in a noisycontext. It is used with a compressive sensing (CS) method toestimate the time delay of backscattered echoes coming fromGPR signal. Several simulations with practical parameters arepresented to show the effectiveness of signal enhancement.
