Monoclinic (001) and (110)-oriented La2NiMnO6 films were grown on (001) SrTiO3 and (001) (LaAlO3)0.3—(SrAl1/2Ta1/2O3)0.7 substrates, respectively, by pulsed-laser deposition. The crystal structures, magnetic properties, and the Raman spectrum have been studied on films with different growth conditions. Analysis of the magnetization, x-ray diffraction, and the Raman spectroscopy measurements demonstrate that the B-site cationic ordering, which is sensitive to both growth conditions and the lattice mismatch with the substrate, affects the magnetic properties.
