Abstract

The Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society (ANZICS) has reluctantly concluded that it would not be appropriate to sponsor the entire package of the 'Surviving Sepsis Campaign: International guidelines for management of severe sepsis and septic shock: 2008.' Some components do not reflect current practice in Australia and New Zealand and some have not been proven to be superior to current practice binationally.
