Abstract

An active matrix based on a new poly-CdSe thin film transistor technology has been designed. In the new process TiW is used as a source-drain metal and the important role of semiconductor annealing and contact annealing is shown. The resulting CdSe TFT is capable of switching liquid crystal materials with a wide scope of threshold voltages and it has been successfully used in a polymer network liquid crystal test display for projection.
