Abstract

Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) and unsaturated fatty acids (UFAs), as positive control, were isolated from Laminaria japonica (Makonbu) and Undaria pinnatifida (Wakame) to investigate a possibility of the isolated DEHP as a natural product by the analysis of natural abundance 14C contents. Wild L. japonica and cultured U. pinnatifida were freeze-dried and extracted with dichloromethane. DEHP and UFAs were isolated and purified by GC from the extracts. The 14C contents (pMC) of DEHP and UFAs from Laminaria japonica were 14.8 ± 0.1 and 103.7 ± 0.4, respectively, and from Undaria pinnatifida were 2.32 ± 0.04 and 96.9 ± 0.3, respectively. Therefore, DEHP isolated from L. japonica and U. pinnatifida was the industrial origin. マコンブ(Laminaria japonica) およびワカメ(Undaria pinnatifida) から単離されたdi(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP) が、これらの海藻によって生合成されている天然物であるかを検討した。天然マコンブと養殖ワカメを凍結乾燥後、ジクロロメタン抽出と分離を行い、DEHPおよびコントロールとして不飽和脂肪酸をそれぞれの海藻から単離し、GC分取により精製した。これらDEHPと不飽和脂肪酸の14C濃度測定結果(pMC)はそれぞれ14.8 ±0.1と103.7 ±0.4 (マコンブ)および2.32±0.04と96.9±0.3(ワカメ)であった。この結果から、マコンブとワカメから単離されたDEHPは工業製品であったと考えられる。
