Abstract

The thermal annealing of P-doped radiation dosimetry fibres was investigated to increase their operation time, especially at accelerators. We have shown that a regeneration of irradiated fibres is possible at least 20 times while keeping their radiation sensitivity constant. This expands the use of fibre optic radiation sensors at accelerators to longer times and higher dose values without replacing the sensor fibres.
