Abstract

This article intends to reflect on the question of regional and urban inequalities, based on David Harvey's contributions and the theory of uneven geographic development, as a basis for reflection on how Cape Verde, a small island country located on the west coast of Africa, has managed its disparities, given the recent transformations that have taken place in the modern capitalist world, highlighting for this, the role of the State, as a supposed guarantor of social welfare.
