Abstract

Patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) have a 1.5-times excess risk of cardiovascular (CV) disease compared to the general population, attributed to chronic inflammation.1,2In the general population, detectable levels of high-sensitivity cardiac troponin (hs-cTn) are associated with higher risk of major adverse CV events (MACE) and all-cause mortality.3
