Abstract

Neglected tropical diseases caused by kinetoplastid parasites ( Trypanosoma brucei , Trypanosoma cruzi , and Leishmania spp.) place a significant health and economic burden on developing nations worldwide. Current therapies are largely outdated, inadequate, and face mounting drug resistance from the causative parasites.
