Abstract

Pseudomonas aeruginosa biofilms can cause chronic infections in burn wounds, grow on medical equipment, and proliferate in the lungs of people with cystic fibrosis. These inherently antibiotic tolerant biofilms are difficult to eradicate largely due to the complexity of the biofilm environment.
