Greenhouse production needs more attention than field agriculture due to the its high profit, market return in short time for the producer and possibility to grow and cultivate for consumption in short seasons, as well as the contributions it provides to the national economy. Greenhouse cultivation has not been improved at the same level in all regions of our country. The aim of this study is to evaluate possibility of improvement the greenhouse cultivation in Erzurum in the light of the information obtained from Kumluca region of Antalya. Since Kumluca region has achieved a significant success in terms of greenhouse cultivation and the experiences gained in this regard, it is seen that Kumluca greenhouse cultivation has some guiding elements based on improving Erzurum greenhouse production. Cucumber and tomato were the most grown products in greenhouse cultivation in Erzurum and in this respect coincided with the Kumluca findings. Unlike Kumluca, Erzurum terrestrial climate type increase the annual heating problems and the costs associated with it, this requires the calculation of the greenhouse direction and also considering alternatives such as geothermal or solar energy for heating. Heating costs are the most important problem for Erzurum region's greenhouse cultivation however Kumluca producers use simple systems in the form of frost protection. However, the use of methods such as roof sprinkler system and heat curtains applied for frost protection in the Kumluca region will provide benefits for earliness in spring in Erzurum.
