Abstract

Using d. functional theory employing the M06 functional, we predict the reaction path energetics of ring formation via diene ring closing metathesis (RCM) reactions, and thence the effective molarity (EM) for the formation of cyclohexene, which is in good accord with the exptl. lower limit which we report here. ; CAN 151:266664 Physical Organic Chemistry 681286-06-6 Role: CAT (Catalyst use), USES (Uses) (calcd.; prediction of ring formation efficiency via diene ring-closing metathesis (RCM) reactions using M06 d. functional); 1175649-99-6; 1175650-03-9; 1175650-07-3; 1175650-09-5; 1175650-12-0; 1175650-15-3 Role: CAT (Catalyst use), FMU (Formation, unclassified), PRP (Properties), RCT (Reactant), FORM (Formation, nonpreparative), USES (Uses), RACT (Reactant or reagent) (calcd.; prediction of ring formation efficiency via diene ring-closing metathesis (RCM) reactions using M06 d. functional); 1175649-97-4 Role: CAT (Catalyst use), PEP (Physical, engineering or chemical process), PRP (Properties), RCT (Reactant), PROC (Process), USES (Uses), RACT (Reactant or reagent) (calcd.; prediction of ring formation efficiency via diene ring-closing metathesis (RCM) reactions using M06 d. functional); 1175650-19-7 Role: FMU (Formation, unclassified), PRP (Properties), FORM (Formation, nonpreparative) (calcd.; prediction of ring formation efficiency via diene ring-closing metathesis (RCM) reactions using M06 d. functional); 75-09-2 (Dichloromethane) Role: NUU (Other use, unclassified), USES (Uses) (calcd.; prediction of ring formation efficiency via diene ring-closing metathesis (RCM) reactions using M06 d. functional); 246047-72-3 Role: CAT (Catalyst use), USES (Uses) (prediction of ring formation efficiency via diene ring-closing metathesis (RCM) reactions using M06 d. functional); 110-83-8 (Cyclohexene) Role: FMU (Formation, unclassified), PRP (Properties), FORM (Formation, nonpreparative) (prediction of ring formation efficiency via diene ring-closing metathesis (RCM) reactions using M06 d. functional); 865-49-6; 1665-00-5 (Dichloromethane-d2) Role: NUU (Other use, unclassified), USES (Uses) (prediction of ring formation efficiency via diene ring-closing metathesis (RCM) reactions using M06 d. functional); 3710-30-3 (1,7-Octadiene) Role: PEP (Physical, engineering or chemical process), RCT (Reactant), PROC (Process), RACT (Reactant or reagent) (prediction of ring formation efficiency via diene ring-closing metathesis (RCM) reactions using M06 d. functional)
