Abstract

The Social and Psychological Impact of COVID-19 on medical students: a national survey Evaluation (SPICE-19) study aims to identify the national impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the social and psychological wellbeing of medical students across the UK. Medical students will be active collaborators at every stage of the research from development, execution, and interpretation to dissemination and translation of the findings. Student engagement will enhance the relevance of the research and improve the effectiveness of knowledge dissemination and translation efforts. We propose a prospective cohort study design as that will enable us to capture how medical student views shift as the pandemic progresses. We hope this will be one of many papers that begin to address the international paucity of data on this topic.
