Abstract

Stenotrophomonas maltophilia causes high-mortality infections in immunocompromised hosts with limited therapeutic options. Many U.S. laboratories rely on commercial automated antimicrobial susceptibility tests (cASTs) and use CLSI breakpoints (BPs) for S. maltophilia .
