Abstract

Using the finite volume method we compute within effective massapproximation the single-particle eigenstates for electrons and holes in aInGaAs/GaAs quantum well - nanobridge - quantum dot structure. It is shown that hybrid statesappear in this complex system. The interaction between the eigenvalues may bean explanation for the additional photoluminescence peak measured for invertedstructures with smaller nanobridge lengths.
