Abstract

We discuss the influence of magma mixing on the CO2-H2O behavior in magmas. ► Witham ‘s model does not fit our melt inclusion data set for Mt Etna and Stromboli. ► Magma fluxing by a deep derived CO2-rich gas better explains the CO2-H2O evolution.
