Abstract

2020334010121 ; 材料系 ; Lead-sheathed cables have served as primary carriers of communication signals in Taiwan for more than 20 years. Corrosion in flooded manholes has caused pitting, thinning, and failure,of the cable sheaths. Repair and replacement are expensive. Zinc anode cathodic protection (CP) ha's been applied to these cables. This article describes laboratory and field tests used to develop the CP system.
