Abstract

Results are presented about the morphological, crystallochemical, hysteretic and relaxational properties of Co-, and Al-doped, elongated Fe nanoparticles. From these results we conclude the occurrence of two temperature ranges characterized by different hysteretic and relaxational properties, which are related to the structure and magnetic properties of the particle surface region and to the ratio between the particle transverse dimensions and the effective exchange correlation length.
