Abstract
Bulk industrial Alnico specimens of different macroscopic magnetic properties are characterized by means of neutron TOF diffraction and high-resolution sample scanning. The material composition of chemically different crystallites is analysed. Anisotropic Alnico exhibits a typical fibre texture. (200) pole densities differ by a factor of 10 according to the degree of preferred orientation.
