Abstract

Visceral leishmaniasis is an enzootic parasitosis present all around the Mediterranean Basin. Certain authors consider it as an opportunistic parasite. We report a case of a seven-year-old girl treated by anti-TNFα for Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis who had presented visceral leishmaniasis. Two years and half later, she presented a pseudotumoral mass shape of the nasal mucous membrane due to leishmania parasite. Leishmania infantum is classically responsible for visceral leishmaniasis but pure mucocutaneous leishmaniasis has also been described.
