Abstract

In this research, a design prototype is presented for the appropriate position of steel bracing members with a steel tube cross-section by assuming the installation conditions in which it is necessary to reinforce steel frames due to unexpected load burdens at the time of performing remodeling. Such burdens include an extension or reconstruction of the existing architectural frames. At an actual construction site, it is necessary to flexibly handle environmental changes in construction and design, since when bracing construction at an appropriate position, sudden construction position adjustments and design changes of member dimensions are needed due to the emergence of problems in construction in the corresponding position, such as interference of other members and the difficulty of installation and construction of members. Thus, the generalized drift curve formulations provide better positional information on the existing reinforced bracing designs. The efficiency of the proposed method was verified by numerical applications.
