Abstract

An improved protocol for the synthesis of oligonucleotides containing a 3′− 3′ phosphodiester linkage, for use in an alternate strand triple-helix formation approach, is reported. Three 16-mers and one 24-mer have been efficiently synthesized and the corresponding triplexes have been analyzed by thermal denaturation experiments and CD spectroscopy
