Abstract

A strategy for the elaboration of nanopourous molecular crystals based on halogen bonding is reported. The systematic modulation of building blocks and self-assembly via strong and directional halogen bonding was leading successfully to the construction of an extended prophyrin framework with nano-sized tubular channels.
