Abstract

Data are presented on the influence of the heating rate up to the treatment temperature used during the crystallization of amorphous precursors of hard samples on the parameters characterizing their final demagnetization process. The results can be directly correlated to the microstructural features observed in the samples. It is concluded that the precipitation of deteriorating phases (α-Fe) can be avoided by using sufficiently high heating rates, which demonstrates the relevance of this parameter.
