; Prostate cancer is one of the most frequent cancers at the moment. According to the stage, the options of treatment (or combinations of treatments) vary. Among these options we have conservative treatment: active surveillance and watchful waiting; local treatment (only useful for non-metastatic disease): surgery and radiotherapy and systemic treatment (used in case of locally advanced or metastatic disease): hormonotherapy as the most used one. There is no consensus as long as treatment in prostate cancer is concerned; mainly due to the lack of statistically significant results in most studies done, but also to the fact there are many trials showing more than one effective treatment in a particular situation. This revision has the purpose of homogenize the recommendations of principle guidelines (EUA, AUA, NICE, AECC) focusing on the most accepted treatment in each stage. ; Grado en Medicina
