Abstract

Here we present recent progress in the area of the colloidal synthesis of semiconductor nanocrystals related to the exploration of novel materials, and the fabrication of alloyed and doped particles exhibiting bright emission. The approaches shown increase the number of nanoparticulate semiconductors, and tune and extend their electronic and optical properties to specific regions of interest.
