Abstract

A pdf is available by request to jmheyman@utep.edu . Rather than power being unidimensional and all-encompassing, it is experienced and performed in historically specific regional and local lines of inequality. Douglas, Arizona, historically a company dominated town, illustrates this argument, and adds to the analysis of company towns and race/class (Anglo/Mexican) intersectionality.
