This study describes the possibilities of Western Macedonia region and reveals its developmental prospects and priorities within the scope of developmental programming. The definition of priorities is sought, mainly on the basis of the unemployment and sectoral employment of the regional economy. Methodologically, the matrices of the intersectoral transactions flows of the region, the direct and total requirements, are derived from the corresponding national Input-Output matrix, using Flegg’s location quotient. The multipliers and the elasticities, which indicate the key-sectors of the region, are estimated.
