Abstract

The air stable, paramagnetic, sparingly water-soluble, solvent-free radical compound Cs[B12(OH)12] is synthesized in almost quantitative yield by perhydroxylation of Cs2[B12H12] with 30% H2O2 at 65 °C for six days.
