Abstract

Investigations of heterochiral oligodeoxynucleotides 5'-TD1GD2GD3-3'-3'-GL3GL2TL1-5' () and 3'-TD1GD2GD3-5'-5'-GL3GL2TL1-3' () forming quadruplex structures are reported. Data indicate the presence of enantiomeric left- and right-handed quadruplex helices. In the case of , NMR experiments point to an unusual equilibrium between them.
