Abstract

Dinuclear complexes of ReI are prepared by functionalising a symmetric, bent-core mesogen containing two imine groups. The resulting complex is characterised by single crystal X-ray diffraction and presents the expected geometry, but unfortunately the introduction of the two Re(CO)4 moieties suppresses the mesomorphism of the parent ligand
